The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesiologists in safe and effective anesthesia care, including patient assessment, procedural sedation, monitoring, and recovery.
The role prepares, maintains, and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment and manages supplies and inventory while following DOH regulations and M42 clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists with patient assessment, sedation, anesthesia procedures, and recovery.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and delivery systems for surgical and diagnostic procedures; support routine and emergency interventions.
- Sterilize, disinfect, package, and prepare anesthesia supplies and consumables.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Track anesthesia equipment and supplies, monitor stock, and check medication expiry dates.
- Follow DOH regulations, M42 policies, quality standards, and patient safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Anesthesia Technician Program with a minimum two-year course duration.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a related field.
- UAE license as an Anesthesia Technician or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active BLS certification and knowledge of current anesthesia best practices.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
