Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for elective, emergency, and day-case procedures across specialties; conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and create individualized plans.
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, and manage patients through induction, maintenance, and recovery.
- Provide acute and chronic pain management, including regional techniques where appropriate.
- Participate in care for critically ill patients, provide airway management, and respond to emergencies, resuscitation, and trauma cases.
- Maintain compliant clinical documentation and practice within granted privileges and professional standards.
Qualifications
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification and completion of a recognized Anesthesiology specialty training program.
- Consultant qualification recognized by UAE PQR, such as American Board Certification, Canadian Fellowship (FRCPC), CCT/CCST, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of post-certification experience as a Consultant Anesthesiologist.
- Valid DOH Consultant Anesthesiologist license or eligibility to obtain one; current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
