The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesiologists in safe anesthesia care, including patient assessment, procedural sedation, monitoring, and recovery.
The role prepares, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment and manages supplies and inventory while following DOH regulations and M42 clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessment, sedation, anesthesia procedures, and recovery.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and delivery systems for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Support routine and emergency anesthesia interventions.
- Sterilize, disinfect, package, and prepare supplies and consumables.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Track equipment and supplies, manage inventory, and monitor medication expiry.
- Follow DOH regulations, M42 policies, quality standards, and patient safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Complete an Anesthesia Technician Program of at least two years.
- Have a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in a related field.
- Hold a UAE Anesthesia Technician license or be eligible to obtain one.
- Hold active BLS certification.
- Know current key anesthesia best practices.
- Be fluent in written and spoken Arabic.
