Accountant & Inventory Controller

About the role

Accounting and tax duties

• Manage daily accounting entries for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and the general ledger.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, customer and supplier reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Manage UAE VAT calculations, returns, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Maintain UAE Corporate Tax records and compliance documents, coordinate return filing, and monitor tax and FTA requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and professional advisors.

Inventory and reporting

• Monitor inventory records and stock movements; reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Record stock receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments accurately.
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams on accounting and inventory matters.
• Prepare accounting, inventory, VAT, and management reports; maintain documentation and report discrepancies or compliance issues with recommendations.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience is required; UAE experience is preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, current UAE tax laws, FTA regulations, and compliance requirements is required.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems and strong MS Excel skills is required.
• Inventory accounting and stock reconciliation experience is an advantage.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, communication, coordination, independent work, deadline management, and confidentiality are required.
• ACCA, CMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Reliable commute to or relocation to Dubai Silicon Oasis is required.
