Accountant

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record and reconcile daily sales, cash, credit card, online delivery, and POS transactions.
• Perform daily revenue and cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable, supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, supplier, and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor restaurant expenses, purchases, food costs, and operational costs.
• Assist with monthly closing and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare periodic sales, expense, cash flow, and profitability reports.
• Support inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and food-cost analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation and authorization of transactions; assist with UAE VAT compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors, suppliers, banks, and other external parties; identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with POS systems and accounting/ERP software.
• Good understanding of inventory, food cost, and restaurant financial controls.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and basic UAE accounting compliance requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.

Preferred experience and tools

• Restaurant, hospitality, or F&B industry experience is preferred.
• UAE restaurant or hospitality experience, high-volume daily transaction experience, and restaurant inventory/cost-control knowledge are preferred.
• Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software experience is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is AED 5,000–6,000 per month.
