Full-time Accountant role with Kalandoor Building Contracting in Dubai.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the finance department.
Construction, contracting, or interior fit-out experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records and complete daily accounting transactions, payables, receivables, invoices, vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
- Monitor supplier and customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, reconcile bank accounts, and verify transactions.
- Manage petty cash and employee expenses; assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules; monitor project expenses, costs, and budgets.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams on invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments.
- File financial records, assist with VAT returns and UAE tax compliance, and support internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Construction, contracting, or interior fit-out industry experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices; proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Numerical, analytical, and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines; good communication and coordination skills.
Skills
- Financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliation, invoice and payment processing, and VAT documentation and compliance.
- MS Excel and ERP knowledge; time management and problem-solving.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
