Accountant/Document Controller

Role overview

Accounting responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports.
• Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash, and expense tracking.
• Monitor and reconcile daily sales transactions from POS systems.
• Assist with payroll preparation and follow company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure UAE VAT compliance, filings, and reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required.
• Maintain financial document filing for retrieval and audit purposes.

Procurement and inventory responsibilities

• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, prepare purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with operations to maintain suitable inventory.
• Build supplier relationships to support pricing and quality.
• Perform other finance, procurement, and administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of accounting and/or procurement experience; restaurant or F&B experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.
• English language ability is required.

Workplace

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and work is in person.

Compensation

• Salary range is AED 1,500–2,000 as an all-inclusive package, paid monthly.
