An experienced Accountant is sought for the Finance team of an international law firm in Dubai.
The role focuses on financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting operations, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee cash flow reporting, payroll processing, and expense reimbursements.
- Support audits, tax compliance, and internal financial controls.
- Assist with timekeeper setups, billing activities, and financial analysis.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, VAT rules, and legal accounting requirements.
Requirements
- 6–7 years of accounting experience; law firm or professional services experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal accounting, including trust accounting and time-based billing.
- Proficiency in 3E accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of UAE/GCC VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Familiarity with SRA Accounts Rules is advantageous.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
