Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day trading and food and beverage accounting, including general ledger postings and reconciliations.
- Handle month-end close, accruals, provisions, schedules and timely MIS reporting.
- Manage AP and AR, including invoices, payments, reconciliations, ageing, customer reporting and collection follow-up.
- Monitor inventory, stock movements, adjustments, stock counts and COGS reconciliation; coordinate annual-audit stock reporting with Procurement and FnB.
- Disburse and reconcile petty cash daily or weekly, with supporting documentation.
- Support UAE VAT workings, documentation and FTA requirements; coordinate internal, external and VAT audit schedules and documents.
- Prepare management reports, analyze variances and highlight accounting issues.
- Maintain ERP records and support improvements, SOPs, automation and process enhancements.
- Complete monthly FnB bank reconciliations and monthly e-commerce aggregator bookkeeping reconciliations.
- Post intercompany purchase and sales entries for branches and subsidiaries.
Qualifications
- 6 years of relevant accounting experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Full-cycle accounting experience in trading, food and beverage, or similar businesses.
- Hands-on AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting and month-end closing experience.
- UAE VAT and FTA compliance experience is preferred.
- ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and UAE accounting practices; advanced MS Excel skills.
- Power BI or reporting experience is an advantage.
- Experience supporting external, internal and VAT audits; multi-company or group-company experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 7,000–10,000 per month.
