Role overview

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the chart of accounts; keep ledgers reconciled.
• Record sales, purchases, expenses, petty cash, and journals; manage payables and receivables.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and agree supplier and customer statements.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-position reports.
• Prepare payroll and process it through WPS; maintain annual audit records and work with external auditors.
• Track invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments against project costs; keep records complete and traceable.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong Excel, and hands-on accounting-software experience.
• Accurate and organized, able to work independently and build records from an incomplete starting point.

Advantageous qualifications

• Qatar accounting experience, including Dhareeba filings and WPS payroll, is advantageous.
• Experience setting up new-company accounts or handling multiple companies' books is advantageous.
• Arabic and part-qualified or qualified CMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous.

Compensation

• A competitive package is offered; basic salary and allowances depend on experience and track record and are agreed at interview.
• No salary amount or payment cadence is stated.

• Work location is in person in Doha, Qatar.
