Wellsite Drilling Supervisor opportunity for a client assignment in Dubai.
The stated duration is six months or longer.
Technical responsibilities
- Review the drilling program and ensure clarifications, errors, and corrections are addressed before operations.
- Model and interpret drilling and flow parameters using multiphase flow modeling or an equivalent method.
- Plan kill mud properties with the client DSV and CT driller.
- Review operating and contingency procedures, provide feedback, and update lessons learned.
- Pressure-test vessels, valves, and pipework before operations.
- Perform slack management at the start of the well and as required.
- Coordinate coiled tubing job files, update coil and cable lengths after a cut, and revise the model with well-specific information.
- Implement emergency shutdown and power shutdown tests.
- Create and populate the well job file with available program information.
- Determine safe nitrogen pump rates based on guidelines and onsite inventory and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
- Understand VND updates and maintain valves in the deployment start-up position.
