JK Associates seeks an experienced Website Developer to build and maintain websites and online stores for existing and new clients.
The role covers client projects from requirements gathering through launch and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive corporate and dynamic websites, landing pages, and e-commerce stores.
- Build and customise WordPress websites, themes, plugins, WooCommerce stores, and Shopify stores, themes, product collections, and apps.
- Integrate payment gateways, shipping options, enquiry forms, WhatsApp, and third-party services.
- Turn designs and client requirements into functional, visually appealing websites.
- Improve speed, mobile usability, security, and technical SEO; configure hosting, domains, SSL certificates, backups, and migrations.
- Troubleshoot errors, maintain websites, and provide ongoing support.
- Coordinate scope, progress, and deadlines with clients and sales and marketing teams.
- Provide client handover instructions and basic website-management training.
Required qualifications and skills
- At least 3 years of hands-on website development experience.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with Shopify Liquid, theme customisation, and app integrations.
- Experience developing dynamic websites with content management and database functionality.
- Familiarity with Elementor or similar WordPress page builders.
- Practical understanding of responsive design, website security, performance optimisation, and technical SEO.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects independently; good communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- A strong portfolio of live websites and e-commerce stores.
Preferred skills
- Agency experience, API and CRM integrations, GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, Figma, and basic UI/UX principles are preferred.
- UAE client project experience is an advantage.
