Role overview
Apply torch-on waterproofing membranes to roofs, basements, and other structures to protect them from water damage.
Duties and responsibilities
- Clean and repair surfaces and apply primers before installation.
- Measure, cut, and align waterproofing membranes.
- Apply torch-on bituminous membranes using a gas torch.
- Seal seams, joints, and overlaps to prevent leaks.
- Inspect completed work against quality standards and project specifications.
- Follow site safety protocols, including precautions for open flames and fire prevention.
Requirements and qualifications
- Proven waterproofing-technician experience, specifically with torch-on systems.
- Expertise in safely handling torching equipment and propane cylinders.
- Blueprint or technical-layout reading ability is a plus.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varied weather.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Salary
- Salary is AED 1,400–1,600 per month.
