Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare substrates by cleaning, grinding, and leveling them, and ensure surfaces are dry.
- Measure and cut fiberglass mats to fit application areas.
- Mix and apply GRP resins and catalysts in correct ratios based on weather and manufacturer specifications.
- Lay fiberglass layers, laminate with rollers, remove air bubbles, and ensure a solid bond.
- Apply topcoats and gel coats for UV protection and a smooth waterproof finish.
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and hazardous waste.
Requirements and qualifications
- Proven experience as a GRP laminator or GRP Waterproofing Technician.
- Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, catalysts, and topcoat applications.
- Skill with hand rollers, laminating brushes, and surface preparation tools.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in warm outdoor environments and confined spaces such as tanks when required.
- Strong focus on preventing pinholes, dry patches, and air pockets.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 1,400–1,600 per month.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time position with work in person.
