Role overview

Warehouse operations

• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and distribution.
• Develop operating strategies, policies, and performance-improvement initiatives.
• Manage warehouse budgets, costs, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
• Set and monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, fulfillment, and service-level KPIs.
• Oversee stock control, reconciliation, cycle counts, and loss prevention.
• Optimize layouts, capacity, workflows, and material handling.
• Improve WMS, automation, and digital reporting tools where appropriate.
• Lead warehouse managers, supervisors, and operational teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, procedural, and operational-control compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, transportation, sales, and customer service.
• Investigate operational risks and recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

• Extensive warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply-chain experience, including senior leadership.
• Experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, logistics coordination, and optimization.
• Experience with WMS, ERP platforms, and performance reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, planning, analytical, decision-making, financial-management, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver continuous improvement, and achieve measurable results.
• A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant professional certification is advantageous.
