Installation Manager

Role overview

Project planning and delivery

• Plan and supervise installation work against schedules, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Manage installation teams, subcontractors, and site personnel for efficient execution and productivity.
• Develop schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor progress, installation quality, labor productivity, and operating costs.

Coordination and site execution

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers, and departments to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure proper handling, transport, storage, and installation of equipment, systems, and materials.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
• Enforce safety procedures and compliance with quality and operational standards.

Risk, documentation, and handover

• Identify installation risks, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports, installation documentation, inspection records, and handover reports.
• Manage tools, equipment, materials, and inventory to minimize delays and waste.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to installation personnel; ensure defect rectification and timely client handover.

Qualifications and experience

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Requires 5–8 years of relevant installation or technical project experience, including team management.
• Requires experience managing installation projects, site operations, subcontractors, and technical teams.
• Requires knowledge of installation methods, technical drawings, project scheduling, quality control, workplace safety, and risk management.
• Requires ability to interpret technical specifications and coordinate with engineering teams.
• Requires leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• English proficiency is required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Project management tools and relevant technical software are advantageous.
