The Bar Waitress serves guests in the bar area by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a welcoming experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and help with seating and menu selection; take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food; explain menu items, promotions, and beverage options.
- Maintain clean, arranged tables, bar counters, and service areas; prepare service stations before opening and throughout shifts.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests or complaints, and coordinate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and service colleagues.
- Process bills and payments accurately; assist with stock replenishment, glassware, and inventory checks.
- Follow hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and responsible alcohol-service policies; check identification when required.
- Follow grooming, uniform, attendance, and customer service standards; carry out other duties assigned by the Bar Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications and skills
- Previous bar waitress, waitress, or food and beverage service experience is preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills; knowledge of beverages, food menus, and service etiquette.
- Basic POS and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance; friendly, attentive, team-oriented approach.
- One year of food-handling experience and one year of bar experience are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,700 per month.
Workplace
- Work is in person in Abu Dhabi.
- Venue: 49ers Avenue Steakhouse, Leaf Tower, Reem Island.
