What you’ll do
- In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving to deliver high-quality Telco Application solutions that support our business and customer goals. You’ll take ownership of Telco Application Services, helping to deliver solutions that align with architectural principles and business objectives. You’ll provide technical guidance to systems integrators, suppliers, and project teams, ensuring solution designs achieve the required business outcomes. You’ll contribute to the definition and refinement of technical requirements and specifications. You’ll ensure solutions are delivered in line with agreed functional requirements and operational expectations. You’ll design and specify network functions that support end-to-end services and operational needs. You’ll support programme and project delivery by contributing to planning activities, risk management, issue resolution, and implementation milestones. You’ll work alongside Technical Design Authorities and domain leaders to help shape and prioritise the technical and investment roadmap. You’ll monitor, analyse, and improve platform performance, capacity, resilience, and operational efficiency. You’ll build strong, trusted partnerships across suppliers, systems integrators, cloud providers, and internal teams. You’ll collaborate with technology partners including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Capgemini, Sogeti, and leading telecommunications vendors to deliver critical programmes and projects. You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, performance, customer experience, and cost effectiveness. You’ll support the adoption of modern cloud and cloud-native technologies, helping to evolve network functions and application hosting approaches.

- You’ll bring strong hands-on technical expertise and subject matter knowledge within Telco Applications or Core Network technologies. You’ll have experience working effectively within cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes through collaboration and expertise. You’ll be comfortable making informed decisions, solving complex problems, and balancing technical and business priorities. You’ll be adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-changing technology environment. You’ll demonstrate curiosity, a growth mindset, and a genuine commitment to continuous learning and self-development. You’ll be open to feedback, new perspectives, and opportunities to expand your technical capabilities. You’ll have a strong understanding of customer-focused technology delivery and operational excellence. You’ll possess in-depth knowledge of 3G, 4G and 5G Core Network architectures and their application in voice, data, and messaging services. You’ll have hands-on experience with some of the following technologies and platforms: SMSC, MMSC, Steering of Roaming, OTA, OCS, GMLC, ES, CBC, Voicemail, NCC and SIG. You’ll have strong knowledge of Diameter interfaces including Gx, Gy, Sy and Sd. You’ll understand VoLTE and VoWiFi architectures, signalling, and call flows. You’ll have experience working with cloud technologies, including NFVi, Kubernetes and Software Defined infrastructure environments. You’ll understand cloud-native principles and deployment approaches across on-premises, off-premises and hybrid environments. You’ll be confident building productive relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be motivated by delivering measurable outcomes, driving innovation, and creating positive customer experiences.
