Training strategy and coordination

  • Identify training needs and develop competency matrices for Facilities Department roles.
  • Design initial and refresher training frameworks for supervisors, housekeeping staff, office assistants, accommodation managers, and outsourced staff.
  • Develop and improve training materials using operational trends, audit findings, performance gaps, and assessments.
  • Coordinate with Learning and Development, suppliers, and manpower service providers on programmes, nominations, calendars, and delivery.

  • Deliver initial and refresher training to in-house and outsourced staff under the approved plan.
  • Coordinate equipment training and competency requirements for machine operators and team leaders.
  • Ensure deep-cleaning staff and supervisors are competent and certified to operate Aerial Work Platforms, with annual refresher training.
  • Monitor provider training for effectiveness and compliance; inspect Dubai Metro sites to assess staff competence and training needs.

Records and reporting

  • Verify assessment and refresher-training records and submit reports to the Senior Soft Services Manager.
  • Maintain complete training databases and documentation for audits and future reference.
  • Upload required training documents to Q-Pulse promptly.
  • Provide the Head of Facilities with a monthly dashboard comparing planned and actual training.

Competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ training experience in the facilities management and housekeeping sector.
  • Ideally a degree or diploma in Facilities Management or Hospitality; Certified Trainer certification is listed.
  • Knowledge of facilities management in hospitality or transport, cleaning, waste management, pest control, and soft services.
  • Knowledge of training methods, housekeeping processes, HSE compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to use MS Office, presentation tools, computer systems, and software applications.
  • Clear spoken and written English; strong planning, presentation, time-management, and project-management skills.
  • Project management certification is listed under skills and training.
