Role description
The Rolling Stock Technician inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs metro and tram vehicles to support safe and reliable operations.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Replace and adjust components and complete detailed maintenance records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams and support incident recovery.
- Follow safety procedures and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in rolling stock, rail vehicles, heavy machinery, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals and follow work instructions accurately.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
Schedule and work environment
- The role may require shifts, weekends, and public holidays to support continuous service.
- Work may take place in depot, trackside, and workshop environments; safety requirements apply.
