Testing Lead

The role

What you will own

• Own the test strategy and plan, including scope, coverage, phase approach, SIT, and UAT.
• Review partner test scenarios and return work that is not based on real business processes.
• Ensure environments, test data, and prerequisites are ready before each phase opens.
• Manage daily execution, blockers, progress against plan, and replanning when delivery slips.
• Govern defects from triage through final closure, including severity, priority, routing, and follow-up.
• Hold the integrator and testing vendors accountable for agreed resolution times.
• Produce daily and weekly reporting that accurately attributes delays to their causes.
• Define phase entry and exit criteria and provide evidence-backed gate recommendations with residual risk.
• Onboard, schedule, and support business testers through UAT.
• Provide the quality position for go or no-go, cutover, and release decisions.
• Own the QTest test management structure, configuration, and reporting.

What you bring

• At least 8 years of software testing experience, including at least 4 years leading testing on large, multi-system programmes.
• End-to-end SIT and UAT ownership across integrated system landscapes.
• Integration testing experience with message flows, middleware, APIs, and end-to-end transaction tracing.
• Retail or consumer technology experience across relevant platforms and processes.
• Accountability for test work executed by an integrator or offshore partner.
• Day-to-day experience owning QTest or a comparable test management platform.
• Experience writing and defending phase exit criteria and gate recommendations.
• Ability to maintain an evidence-based quality position with partners.
• Clear, factual reporting in fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating and testing SAP and non-SAP estates together.
• An automation strategy developed for a programme with mostly manual execution.
• ISTQB or a comparable testing qualification.
• Previous work experience in the region.

Contract and compensation
