Lead SAP Security Architect

Serve as the SAP security authority for a transformation spanning S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Fiori, GRC, and BTP.
The role reports into Group Information Security and works with programme leaders, ERP architects, business stakeholders, the system integrator, and vendors.
Client and engagement
The client is a large luxury and premium retail group headquartered in Dubai, with hundreds of stores, e-commerce sites, apps, and more than 300 international brands.
The client is undertaking a multi-year SAP transformation covering finance, people, logistics, and its omnichannel retail estate.
The placement is client work, engaged through Dreamcast Interactive rather than an internal Dreamcast role.
Responsibilities
- Own SAP ERP security architecture, standards, and guidelines aligned with Group Information Security.
- Assess security impacts, threats, and risks across SAP platforms and related ERP modules.
- Define application, database, network, IAM, and secure-configuration controls.
- Integrate security controls with Security Operations for monitoring, detection, response, and logging.
- Guide secure configuration of Fiori, GRC, and Solution Manager; evaluate third-party SAP add-ons and integrations.
- Embed security in design reviews and translate SOX and GDPR requirements into ERP controls.
- Set IAM and segregation-of-duties standards; support audits and compliance work.
- Coordinate between the transformation programme, security, and governance forums, and deliver stakeholder security training.
Requirements
- 10+ years in information security, including at least 5 years in security architecture and secure design.
- Deep SAP security architecture expertise across S/4HANA, Fiori, GRC, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and SAP IAM.
- Evidence of security-by-design in complex ERP transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOX in ERP security.
- Familiarity with SAP cloud security on AWS, Azure, or GCP; expertise in RBAC, SAML, OAuth2, and SAP SSO integrations.
- Experience with SAP monitoring, logging, security event management, and SIEM/SOC integration.
- Able to work independently and take accountability in a fast-moving transformation environment.
- SAP-focused security platforms and listed certifications are nice to have; Middle East retail or consumer experience is also desirable.
- Candidates must already be based in the UAE.
Workplace and contract
- Three-year full-time contract through Dreamcast Interactive, starting as soon as possible.
- Based at the client's Dubai head office with hybrid flexibility agreed with the client.
