Embedded test engineering role focused on embedded systems, sensor APIs, and software-hardware interfaces.
Testing and collaboration
- Analyze requirements and prepare, review, and execute test plans.
- Design and execute test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform white-box testing by analyzing embedded-system code and architecture.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand architecture and create effective tests.
- Troubleshoot embedded software and hardware interfaces using debugging tools.
- Run performance, stress, and regression tests to validate sensor API reliability.
- Document results, report defects, and track issues through resolution, including with JIRA.
- Keep up with embedded testing and sensor technology trends.
Technical qualifications
- Good experience in C and Embedded C programming.
- Good experience with Python, including NumPy and pandas, for data visualization and validation.
- Familiarity with timers, PWM, DMA, and external memory interfaces.
- Good understanding of SPI, I2C, USART, and USB.
- Expertise with compiler, linker, and loader tools; good build scripting with Make or CMake.
- Experience with multimeters, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
- Understanding of sensor systems such as accelerometers and gyroscopes; basic signal-processing knowledge.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum; CI/CD knowledge and familiarity with Git are also noted.
