Role overview

Lead quality engineering across Salesforce, MuleSoft integrations, and enterprise data flows.

Protect customer, colleague, and regulatory outcomes by providing risk-based evidence that changes are ready.

Impact and responsibilities

  • Own and evolve quality engineering strategy, standards, controls, quality gates, and metrics.
  • Lead portfolio planning across test demand, resources, environments, data, and dependencies.
  • Set automation roadmap for Copado Robotic Testing, API, integration, and data assurance.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations through governance, release-readiness, and risk forums.
  • Partner across product, engineering, architecture, delivery, operations, risk, security, data, and business teams.
  • Line manage, coach, and develop Test Leads and Test Engineers.

Technology and testing stack

  • Platforms include Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, MuleSoft 4, Anypoint Platform, and API Manager.
  • Testing and tools include Copado Robotic Testing and pipelines, Azure DevOps, CI/CD quality gates, REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and event-driven integrations.
  • Data and assurance technologies include JSON, XML, CSV, DataWeave, MUnit, SOQL, Salesforce CLI, logs, distributed tracing, and CloudHub or Runtime Fabric environments.

Essential experience

  • Substantial quality engineering and test management experience across complex, integrated enterprise delivery.
  • Proven people leadership, including coaching, development, performance management, recruitment, and workforce planning.
  • Expertise in risk-based strategy, planning, estimation, governance, defect management, quality metrics, and release-readiness support.
  • Salesforce testing experience covering configuration, customisation, integrations, Apex, Lightning components, security models, APIs, data validation, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong MuleSoft, API, integration, and data-testing experience, including automated regression through CI/CD.
  • Advanced Copado Robotic Testing or equivalent automation experience, including reusable frameworks and quality gates.
  • Confident senior-stakeholder communication and ability to turn technical evidence into clear decisions.

Quality engineering approach

Risk-based quality makes coverage, evidence, and controls proportionate to customer impact, regulatory exposure, and business criticality.

Reusable automation targets valuable journeys and is integrated into CI/CD quality gates.

Testing starts early, with traceability and ownership from requirements through release.

Quality data is translated into business impact, recommendations, and residual risk.

People, process, environments, data, observability, and governance evolve through measurable outcomes.
