Role overview

Experience and domain requirements

• 12+ years of software testing and QA experience, including at least 3 years as a Test Manager on banking programs.
• Experience with Intellect Banking Products, cash management platforms, transaction banking, and large multi-stream testing programs.
• Experience with onsite-offshore delivery models and exposure to international banking projects.
• Domain expertise includes corporate, digital, core, and transaction banking; payments and collections; cash management; and account services.
• Functional areas include transfers, UAE payment schemes, SWIFT payments, remittances, payroll, card and utility payments, host-to-host payments, direct debit, cheque services, collections, virtual accounts, and liquidity management.
• Technical domain knowledge includes SWIFT formats, ISO 20022/XML, API testing, middleware, file-based integrations, and microservices.

Test management responsibilities

• Define test strategy, scope, approach, entry/exit criteria, plans, schedules, governance, quality controls, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence.
• Align SIT, UAT, NFT, regression, and migration testing cycles; oversee end-to-end testing across workstreams and track milestones.
• Review scenarios, cases, and coverage; manage environments and test data; support migration, integration, and release testing.
• Manage defect lifecycle, triage, closure, vendor and stakeholder coordination, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Prepare UAT plans, coordinate business users, manage execution and sign-off, and ensure production readiness.

Automation and technical skills

• Drive automation framework adoption and Selenium/Java-based automation initiatives.
• Implement API and regression automation, define roadmaps and coverage targets, integrate automation with CI/CD, and promote continuous testing.
• Mandatory technical skills: Selenium, Java, API testing, JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, SQL, and test automation frameworks.
• Preferred areas: performance testing, security testing, microservices testing, cloud testing, and TCoE governance.

Financial and leadership responsibilities

• Prepare testing budgets and cost plans; plan capacity and resources, allocate teams, track utilization, forecast demand, and monitor margins and revenue.
• Manage senior business stakeholders and client communications; present delivery status, risks, and financial metrics.
• Lead onsite and offshore teams, drive quality governance, and mentor Test Leads and QA teams.

Preferred certifications

• ISTQB, PMP, Scrum Master, banking, and Agile certifications are preferred.
