Telecaller
About This Role
A cold-call telecaller for an interior fit-out company plays a frontline sales role focused on generating leads and opening conversations with potential clients. The job is less about “selling on the spot” and more about qualifying prospects and setting up opportunities for the sales/design team.
Here’s what the duties typically include:
1. Outbound Cold Calling
You’ll be calling businesses, property owners, or individuals who may need interior fit-out services (offices, retail spaces, villas, etc.). The goal is to introduce the company, spark interest, and identify potential needs.
2. Lead Generation & Qualification
Not every contact is a good fit. You’ll ask basic questions to understand:
* Type of project (office, home, retail)
* Budget range (if they’re willing to share)
* Timeline
Then categorize them as hot, warm, or cold leads.
3. Appointment Setting
A key responsibility is booking meetings for the sales or design team. That could be:
* Site visits
* Consultation calls
* Showroom visits
4. Maintaining CRM/Data Entry
You’ll log call outcomes, update contact details, and track follow-ups in CRM systems (like Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.). Clean data is crucial for the sales pipeline.
5. Follow-ups
You’ll reconnect with prospects who showed interest but didn’t commit yet—sometimes multiple times—until they’re ready or clearly not interested.
6. Script Handling & Objection Management
You’ll usually work with a call script but adapt it naturally. You should be able to handle common objections like:
* “We already have a contractor”
* “No budget right now”
* “Send details on email”
7. Basic Product/Service Knowledge
You need a clear understanding of:
* Fit-out services (design, execution, turnkey solutions)
* Types of projects handled
* Company strengths (pricing, timelines, portfolio)
8. Reporting
Daily or weekly reporting on:
* Number of calls made
* Leads generated
* Appointments set
* Conversion rates
9. Coordination with Sales Team
You’ll pass qualified leads to sales executives and sometimes brief them about the client before meetings.
