Partnerships and technology strategy
- Develop partnerships with mining companies, UAE technology and research organizations, global technology companies, startups, and OEMs.
- Evaluate partners and technology companies technically, commercially, and strategically; support partnership, joint venture, and commercial deal negotiations.
- Identify and evaluate technologies including AI, automation, industrial software, IoT, robotics, and data platforms.
- Work with operational teams to translate business challenges into technology use cases and support initiatives from concept and pilot through implementation and scale-up.
Strategy, proposals, and transactions
- Develop business cases, technology strategies, partnership models, and proposals; present recommendations to management and external stakeholders.
- Help identify and assess M&A, joint venture, and investment opportunities and support senior leadership with transaction analysis and preparation.
Experience and qualifications
- 8+ years in technology or industrial consulting, digital transformation, technology strategy, corporate innovation, or technology project/programme management in industrial sectors.
- Technology partnership, vendor, or ecosystem relationship experience is essential; a solid understanding of industrial operations and technology is required.
- Mining experience is preferred; metals, oil and gas, and other heavy industries are relevant. Exposure to AI, automation, industrial software, IoT, robotics, or data platforms is listed.
- Strong commercial judgement, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and drive initiatives through delivery; understanding of joint ventures, M&A, and deal negotiation is advantageous, not essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
