Full-time, non-management audio-visual technician role in event management at a Doha hotel.
The position is not remote and supports banquet and meeting-room AV operations.
Role responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment; oversee room setup.
- Keep equipment operational, repair or clean it, label broken equipment, and report problems to a manager or supervisor.
- Tape down and dress cables; check delivered equipment and room setups against Banquet Event Orders.
- Communicate flow-sheet additions or deletions to a manager or supervisor.
- Assist and instruct guests in equipment use, promote AV services, and monitor equipment operation.
- Break down, remove, and secure equipment when it is not in use; follow the Marriott Visual Productions SOP book.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report incidents, inspect equipment, and protect company assets and confidential information.
- Provide guest service, communicate professionally, work cooperatively, and meet quality standards.
- Handle and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance; perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
