Technician 2, Carpenter - Residences supports facilities maintenance at Atlantis The Royal.
The role covers property maintenance, including carpentry, electrical and mechanical systems, kitchen systems, painting, audio-visual systems, fire and life safety, recreational water systems, hotel rooms, public areas, and exterior resort features.
The technician reports to a supervisor and manager and completes assigned tasks.
Maintenance and Guest Support
- Carry out condition-based maintenance and preventive maintenance according to manufacturer guidance, property manuals, and approved SOPs.
- Perform civil, MEP, and ELV system rectification and maintenance as required.
- Attend guest complaints through work orders and coordinate necessary room blocking with housekeeping and front office.
- Escalate issues to senior personnel and inform the team leader of material requirements.
- Assist with inventory and prepare necessary documents with the team leader.
Safety, Equipment, and Teamwork
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including use of personal protective equipment, and attend to hazard and emergency notices.
- Keep work areas clean before, during, and after work; report cleanliness issues to supervision.
- Maintain issued tools and equipment and keep calibration current where applicable.
- Provide assigned shift coverage, respond to building emergencies, and learn the layout of the building and property.
- Teach and train others and act as team leader in the team leader's absence.
About You
- 3–5 years' experience in a maintenance facility trade.
- Diploma education or trade school certification.
- Experience with trades associated with facilities maintenance.
- Rectification, diagnostics, and troubleshooting skills; background in preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in restricted-access areas.
- Willingness to assist others, communicate well, and escalate issues to superiors.
