Role overview

Operations and team leadership

• Drive guest, people, product, and profit KPIs; maintain familiarity with operating standards and training programs.
• Ensure timely performance appraisals, hold quarterly one-to-ones, analyze shifts, and implement staff and service improvements.
• Manage inventory and ordering of restaurant operating tools and equipment.
• Attend departmental operations meetings when the outlet manager is absent and brief the restaurant team.

Guest service and outlet controls

• Manage restaurant and bar service quality, consistency, and operating levels; ensure compliance with food hygiene requirements.
• Promote upselling, review guest feedback, and act on comments about food, service, and satisfaction.
• Coordinate reservations to maximize bookings and handle guest complaints when the outlet manager is absent.
• Ensure cash handling and reconciliation follow company policy.

Experience

• At least two years in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing restaurant operations in a five-star luxury property.
• International fine-dining experience and oversight of teams of 50 or more colleagues are preferred.

Skills and knowledge

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, POS systems, and restaurant reservations systems.
• Financial awareness, food and beverage cost management, inventory control, and menu engineering knowledge.
• Prioritization, delegation, communication, and confident stakeholder engagement in a high-pressure environment.
• Awareness of worldwide market trends.
