The Technical Product Owner role requires 4–6 years of experience in Agile software delivery and enterprise application development.
The role translates business requirements into technical solutions, manages product backlogs, and works with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog according to business value and technical dependencies.
- Convert business requirements into technical features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, and engineering teams to define solution requirements.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support UAT, release readiness, and product launches.
- Ensure requirements cover security, performance, scalability, reliability, and other functional and non-functional expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar.
Experience and technologies
- Product ownership, backlog management, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Java and Spring Boot fundamentals; AWS; microservices; REST APIs; system integrations; and distributed systems.
- Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, stakeholder management, and dependency management.
- Preferred: CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe Product Owner certification; AWS services; event-driven architecture; cloud-native applications; CI/CD and DevOps; platform modernization or digital transformation.
