Senior Java Developer role at Quest Global, an engineering services provider.
Technical qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong Java 17+ expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, SOLID, Collections, Streams, multithreading, and concurrency; hands-on experience with Spring frameworks.
- Strong REST API and microservices development experience; understanding of distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, and event-driven architecture.
- AWS experience with services such as S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Strong SQL and database knowledge; MySQL and NoSQL experience is preferred.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, Docker, and API security including OAuth2/JWT, authentication, and authorization.
- Communication and mentoring skills, production troubleshooting ability, and experience with technical design and review.
- Experience using AI tools for code generation, code review, debugging, test generation, documentation, and developer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop APIs and microservices; contribute to architecture and design discussions and technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, performance problems, and distributed-system failures.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
