About the Role
A client in Abu Dhabi seeks a Design Manager with 10-15 years of experience in mechanical design of pipeline repair equipment. Must be proficient in ANSYS, PV Elite, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, and knowledgeable in ASME codes.

Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical calculation, stress simulation, and structural design of pipeline leak repair clamps, high pressure split repair sleeves, mechanical connectors, pig launcher and receiver systems, pipeline pigs, pig handling systems, monolithic insulating joints (MIJs), flow tees, headers, piping skids, and heavy pressure vessels.
- Generate technical design packages and material estimations.
- Establish workshop quality control by writing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) protocols.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of hard mechanical design and manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench, PV Elite, CodeCal, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
- Absolute proficiency in ASME Section VIII Division 1 & 2, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and ASME B31.3
- Capability to generate technical design packages, material estimations, and establish workshop quality control
