Technical Lead

Role summary

Core accountabilities

• Support development of the BI interface and coordinate across stakeholders and internal teams.
• Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards; oversee reporting design methodology and documentation.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models aligned with warehouse standards.
• Integrate BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics and API automation, and create custom visuals.
• Maintain BI applications, recommend enhancements, and develop strategies for implementation and integration across the organization.
• Maintain BI records for audits and compliance; identify cost-effective BI development projects and enhancements.
• Implement updates and upgrades, resolve software issues, conduct monthly end-user service reviews, and support operational continuity.
• Liaise between product or solution management and end users; define BI quality standards.
• Support integration, testing, and commissioning delivery while coordinating timelines, milestones, and project objectives.

Supporting accountabilities

• Follow functional policies and procedures and participate in periodic audits.
• Support periodic reporting and flag quality or compliance issues.
• Support change management and identify technology needs that can automate work.

Experience and education

• At least 6 years of business intelligence development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in the UAE or Middle East is desirable.
• A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Technical skills

• Strong hands-on Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, incremental loading, RLS, and workspace management.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets; experience with Python and PySpark.
• Familiarity with open data formats, Talend, Trino, and Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Agile delivery frameworks; experience with SAC is a plus.
