Seeking a visionary and deeply technical Principal Product Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a reputed company.
The role drives technical direction, architecture, and engineering excellence across platforms.
Acts as a critical bridge between product strategy and engineering execution, setting high standards for scalability, design, and developer velocity.
Operates beyond a single team, influencing architecture, mentoring senior talent, and ensuring a robust, secure, and scalable technical ecosystem.
Architecture & Technical Strategy
- Own the end-to-end architecture across multiple teams and platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and future-proof design.
- Drive platform-level API design and governance, establishing robust standards for integration, security, and lifecycle management.
- Deliver highly scalable enterprise solutions with a clear, measurable business and technical impact.
Technical Leadership & Standards
- Set engineering standards, lead rigorous architecture and design reviews, and champion best practices in code quality across the organization.
- Mentor and elevate senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical curiosity, continuous learning, and high accountability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering leads to align technical roadmaps with product goals.
Requirements
- Saudi National.
- At least 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record spanning several years of owning and scaling architecture across multiple teams or platforms.
- Deep, hands-on full-stack expertise utilizing Spring (backend) and Angular (frontend).
- Extensive production experience with Apigee for API design, gateway management, security policies, and platform-level API governance.
- Demonstrated history of delivering large-scale, complex distributed solutions with quantifiable business or operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering initiatives outside your immediate team, establish enterprise-wide technical guidelines, and actively mentor senior technical talent.
