Technical General Officer – Medical Insurance Brokerage

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage technical operations for medical insurance policies and liaise with insurers on quotations, issuance, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Review quotations, terms, coverage, exclusions, and benefits; compare proposals and coordinate with underwriting teams.
• Prepare and review proposals for individual and corporate clients, and monitor renewals with timely client and insurer communication.
• Coordinate claims, resolve technical policy issues, and maintain accurate policy, client, and transaction records.
• Ensure regulatory and internal-procedure compliance; coordinate across sales, operations, customer service, and accounts.
• Provide technical guidance, handle escalated queries, and prepare operational reports and insurance documentation.

Qualifications and requirements

• A bachelor's degree from a recognized university or a relevant Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification.
• At least five years of relevant insurance industry experience and strong technical knowledge of medical insurance products and procedures.
• Experience with a UAE insurance brokerage or insurer is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of quotations, underwriting, policy administration, renewals, UAE insurance regulations, and industry practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Working hours

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday off.

Salary and benefits

• Pay is AED 5,000 to AED 8,000 per month.
• Benefits are stated to be in accordance with UAE Labour Law; salary is described as competitive and based on qualifications and experience.
