We are seeking a Lead Technical Architect to drive architecture design for complex, mission-critical banking systems.

You will define high-level solution blueprints aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements, and guide engineering teams on system integration, scalability, security, and performance.

This role owns architectural governance across projects, ensuring solutions are resilient, compliant, and fit for a 24x7 banking environment.

Lead technical architecture design for core banking, payments, digital channels, and integration platforms.

Define end-to-end solution blueprints, domain architectures, and transition roadmaps.

Align designs with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards, and business strategy.

Develop and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and non-functional requirements.

Chair or participate in Architecture Review Boards.

Ensure architectural governance compliance across projects through design reviews, waivers, and exception management.

Guide engineering teams on system integration, microservices, APIs, event-driven design, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Provide direction on security architecture, data architecture, and performance engineering for high-throughput transaction systems.

Define cloud adoption patterns and migration strategies for AWS/Azure.

Assess legacy modernization options and drive decomposition to cloud-native services.

Ensure solutions balance cost, resilience, and regulatory constraints like data residency.

Embed security, compliance, and operational resilience into architectures.

Address requirements for PCI-DSS, data privacy, encryption, identity, and audit.

Partner with CISO and Risk teams on threat modeling and control design.

Communicate complex architecture concepts to C-level, business, and technical audiences.

Influence product and engineering roadmaps.

Build consensus across delivery, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.

8+ years in IT with 5+ years as a Solution/Technical Architect designing complex systems in banking or financial services.

Proven delivery of large-scale transaction processing, integration, or digital banking platforms.

Deep knowledge of architecture frameworks and patterns.

Strong in application, data, integration, and security architecture domains.

Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure services for compute, data, integration, and security.

Ability to define landing zones, network design, and cloud security controls.

Microservices, APIs, Kafka/event streaming, containers/Kubernetes, relational & NoSQL databases, ESB/iPaaS, IAM.

Understanding of mainframe integration is a plus

enforcing architectural standards, running ARBs, and managing technical debt.

Familiar with regulated industry requirements.
