Functional responsibilities
- Lead elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and technical requirements across multiple squads and workstreams.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications ready for agile delivery.
- Bridge business, product, and technology teams to align understanding of requirements and outcomes.
- Own and maintain the requirements backlog, prioritizing it against programme objectives and delivery milestones.
- Work with Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure requirements are well-defined, testable, and deliverable within sprint cycles.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to refine requirements and drive decisions.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from business requirements through technical delivery and solution implementation.
- Validate that technical approaches meet business needs and constraints; quality-check requirements for completeness and consistency.
- Highlight requirement risks, gaps, and changes affecting delivery through governance and reporting.
Minimum experience and qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in large-scale digital or technology transformation programmes.
- Proven experience delivering complex digital platforms involving multiple integrations, systems, and stakeholder groups.
- Strong track record defining business and technical requirements, user stories, and functional specifications at scale.
- Experience in agile environments, supporting multi-squad delivery and iterative release cycles.
- Ability to work across business, product, and engineering teams to drive alignment and clarity.
- Experience managing requirements traceability, change control, and delivery readiness in structured programme environments.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred experience and certifications
- Banking or financial services experience is preferred, particularly in digital channels, onboarding, payments, or servicing.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA are preferred.
