Systems Administrator
About This Role
Overview
We’re seeking a proactive Systems Administrator in Doha to manage, maintain, and secure our server, network, and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers (Linux and Windows) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP): provisioning, cost management, backups, and monitoring.
- Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and implement tuning and scaling.
- Administer network components (switches, routers, firewalls) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain security controls: patch management, access controls, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions; perform regular restore tests.
- Support identity and access management (Active Directory/Azure AD, LDAP, SSO).
- Automate routine tasks using scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide L2/L3 support and collaborate with dev and ops teams on deployments and incident response.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in systems administration or related role.
- Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server experience.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes basics).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Networking fundamentals and experience with firewalls, VLANs, routing.
- Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) and familiarity with automation/IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
- Knowledge of backup solutions and DR planning.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred (RHCE, MCSA, AWS Certified SysOps/Associate, Azure Administrator).
- English fluency required; Arabic a plus.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: QAR45.00 - QAR55.00 per hour
