Hands-on Systems Administrator serving as the UAE office's technology lead in a fast-paced commodities and financial markets business.
Responsible for keeping systems running, users productive, and IT issues resolved promptly; downtime can directly affect commercial operations.

Location and work arrangement
- The role is fully office-based at the client's UAE office in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
- The role supports coordination and remote connectivity with the Singapore office when required.
Client and industry
The client operates in commodity derivatives trading and energy from DMCC and Singapore.
The firm provides corporate clients with commodity price hedging and derivatives solutions and works with exchanges, clearing brokers, and banking counterparties across the Middle East and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-office support for hardware, software, and connectivity; prepare office systems, trading screens, and peripherals for each trading day.
- Maintain office network connectivity and redundancy; administer Microsoft 365 or equivalent services and support trading and market-data connectivity.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, devices, access, endpoint protection, patching, multifactor authentication, and backups.
- Maintain IT inventory; coordinate IT, service-provider, and telecom vendors; support meeting-room, video-conferencing, and telephony equipment.
- Document systems and procedures, track issues and resolutions, recommend improvements, and coordinate with the Singapore office.
Candidate experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or infrastructure.
- Experience supporting a small- to mid-sized office as its primary or sole onsite IT resource.
- Financial-services, trading, brokerage, or similarly time-critical experience is highly desirable.
- Exposure to trading platforms, market data terminals, or exchange connectivity is an advantage.
- Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco certifications are an advantage.
Technical expertise
- Windows and macOS desktop support; Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra ID administration.
- Networking: LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPN; endpoint security and patch management.
- Backup and disaster recovery; hardware setup and troubleshooting.
- Video conferencing and telephony systems; IT asset and license management; vendor and service-provider management.

- Proactive, hands-on, and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Calm and effective under pressure when resolving urgent issues.
- Clear communicator able to support non-technical users; organized, discreet, and security-conscious.
