Swimming Pool Technician

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair circulation, filtration, water treatment, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Operate pumps, filters, valves, skimmers, drains, dosing systems, chemical feeders, pool accessories, and related equipment.
• Test pool water chemistry, handle treatment chemicals safely, clean pools and filters, and maintain water circulation and filtration.
• Troubleshoot leaks, blocked pipes, low pressure, pump failures, and filtration problems; perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Assist with heating systems, water features, and automatic cleaning systems where applicable.
• Keep maintenance, water testing, chemical use, and equipment service records.
• Coordinate with landscaping, MEP, engineering, and site teams; maintain tools and comply with safety, environmental, and water-quality requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance or related technical work.
• Hands-on experience with pool pumps, filters, dosing pumps, chlorinators, automated cleaning systems, and chemical balancing.
• Ability to troubleshoot circulation, leakage, pump, and filtration problems; experience with installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with pool types and water features is an advantage; knowledge of heating, dosing, and automation equipment is included among the qualifications.
• Understanding of local pool safety, water quality, environmental, chemical handling, and workplace safety requirements.
• Relevant training or certification in first aid, chemical safety, occupational health and safety, pool operation, water treatment, or pool maintenance is listed.
• Ability to use basic pool maintenance tools and water testing equipment; knowledge of water chemistry, circulation, filtration, and treatment.
