Job Title: Smart City Solution Support Engineer (Azure Focus)

Contract / Full-time

Contract : Yearly renewable

About the Role

We are hiring a

Smart City Solution Support Engineer

to support large-scale digital platform initiatives in Qatar.

This is a

customer-facing role

requiring strong communication skills and hands-on experience with

cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure

.

You will play a critical role in onboarding, supporting, and optimizing Smart City solutions across government entities and partners, ensuring seamless service delivery, platform performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support integration and operations of Smart City solutions on a centralized digital platform, ensuring alignment with architecture, governance, and cloud standards.
  • Act as the
  • first point of contact
  • for technical support, troubleshooting platform, application, and integration issues.
  • Provide
  • customer-facing support
  • to government entities, partners, and end users, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Assist in onboarding activities including configuration, deployment, validation, and go-live support.
  • Collaborate with system integrators, solution providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and usage trends using dashboards and cloud monitoring tools.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and escalations, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of integrations, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimization.
  • Support platform upgrades, testing, and validation of new features before release.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with
  • cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • Application support & troubleshooting
  • API integrations & middleware
  • SQL / database querying
  • Log analysis and system diagnostics
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms, smart city ecosystems, or large-scale government digital solutions
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and system integration
