Job Purpose
Information Risk Management in Audit (IRMeA) is a specialist group within KPMG's External Audit service.
IRMeA specialists support and provide assurance to external audit teams and clients on whether systems and financial-reporting processes are fit for purpose and technology controls operate effectively.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance on audits and review work quality in detail.
- Deliver practice objectives in day-to-day work and communicate technical issues effectively to internal and external clients.
- Meet client service-level agreements and engagement-letter deliverables.
- Support seamless transitions for new projects and clients.
- Plan process changes, proactively identify and resolve process issues, and manage backlogs.
Technical Skillsets
- Understand core business process cycles in banking or retail and technology touchpoints linked to financial reporting.
- Understand general IT controls, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, operating systems, databases, and ERP analytics.
- Have basic knowledge of cybersecurity, business continuity management, emerging technologies, and data analytics.
Education and Experience Requirements
- CISA or CISM certification.
- At least four years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in IT advisory, IT audit support, or technology risk consulting in a Big Four firm; prior similar-function experience in a Big Four firm in a regulated environment is also specified.
- Financial-services institution experience is an added advantage.
