Supervisor - Cargo Operations (DWC)

Role objective

Key responsibilities

• Help deploy operations staff on shifts to process cargo, courier, and mail throughout the cargo network.
• Maintain operational efficiency in line with allocated capacity and revenue-generation objectives; identify export and import process improvements with stakeholders.
• Manage contracted vendors through KPIs and service levels; perform quality checks, verify paperwork, provide feedback, and address issues.
• Participate in audits, assessments, and projects and complete follow-up actions.
• Maintain safety, security, schedule integrity, and service quality in 24/7 shift operations.
• Ensure operational performance of special-handling products, including dangerous goods, live animals, and valuables.
• Support local and regional operations business plans; respond to load-ability requests for outsized packages and support Senior Officers’ decisions.
• Resolve queries from load controllers, operating crew, and other stakeholders; prepare cargo load plans and coordinate transportation with Ground Handling Agents.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree; the source specifies three or more years of study.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience; the qualifications section indicates 3–5 years.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations, Live Animal Regulations, Perishable Cargo Regulations, Safety Management Systems, and aviation security.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
