Banquet operations
- Coordinate staff teamwork and inspect grooming and attire, correcting deficiencies.
- Communicate with guests, employees, and departments to meet guest needs and handle special banquet arrangements.
- Set up banquet rooms and areas with clean, properly arranged furniture and equipment.
- Inspect table settings for cleanliness, neatness, group requirements, and company standards; resolve issues.
- Record pertinent information in the department logbook.
Team and guest service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Build positive working relationships and support common team goals.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and show appreciation.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No license or certification is listed.
