Student Employment - Student Services Assistant

Student employment is an important source of financial aid.

It is part-time, temporary employment which is contingent on continued eligibility.

Opportunities are available at all campus sites year-round.

Available hours are dependent on students’ eligibility and department needs.

Approved students work an average of 10 - 15 hours per week and are paid $15.00 per hour.

Students are paid biweekly.

Funds are sent directly to the student and are not subtracted from any balance due to SPC.

The Downtown Student Services Center has an opening for a Student Assistant on Campus.

entail supporting the Student Services Department and providing administrative and general office support.

• Provide exceptional customer service to everyone visiting the Student Services Center
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with the public, students, and coworkers.
• Assists students with checking in to meet with a Career and Academic Advisor, the Business Office, Testing, and Financial Aid.
• Assists students with making appointments to meet with a Career and Academic Advisor.
• Assist students with navigating their SPC student accounts.
• Conduct campus tours.
• Assist with events held throughout the campus.
• Assists with the administrative and office tasks related to the Student Services office.
• Clerical duties as assigned.
