• The role is based in Dubai, UAE.

Salary

• Salary is AED 16,000–18,000 per month.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required; a Civil Engineering degree alone is not accepted unless it specifically meets the structural engineering requirement.
• Minimum 6–8 years of relevant structural engineering, design coordination, or closely related construction experience.
• Hands-on temporary works structural calculations experience is required; calculating an entire project is not required.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, construction drawings, specifications, IFC drawings, and shop drawings.
• Main contractor or contractor experience is preferred; strong multidisciplinary coordination knowledge and experience coordinating submissions, RFIs, comments, approvals, and revisions are required.
• Familiarity with UAE construction requirements, regulations, and authority approvals; AutoCAD and BIM proficiency is highly desirable.
• Aconex or A-Site experience is advantageous; strong coordination, organisation, communication, attention to detail, and technical problem-solving skills are sought.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is required.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural design among consultants, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams; review IFC, structural, and shop drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Carry out or review temporary works structural calculations and coordinate associated design submissions and documentation.
• Coordinate structural design with Architectural and MEP disciplines; manage RFIs, technical responses, and design issue resolution.
• Coordinate CAD/BIM model updates, drawing revisions, and design changes; track deliverables and follow up to meet project deadlines.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance; maintain drawing registers and records of submissions, approvals, revisions, and consultant comments.
• Ensure only current approved information is issued for construction; identify design changes that may affect cost or programme.
• Support Safety in Design, identify design risks and mitigation measures, and ensure compliance with UAE, authority, contractual, and company HSE requirements.
