The Strategy & PMO Director – Healthcare Transformation will provide strategic leadership and direction for key initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery through innovative practices, process improvements, and robust project management methodologies.
This role requires a visionary leader adept at working cross-functionally to align business goals with operational strategies while promoting a culture of excellence in project execution.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks, advanced analytics, and change management principles to drive transformation initiatives.
The incumbent will lead a high-performing team of project managers and analysts, ensuring alignment with organizational vision and strategic objectives, while cultivating relationships with stakeholders at all levels to foster collaboration and engagement.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, project management, and transformation within the healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of leading high-impact projects and initiatives that have resulted in significant improvements in operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operational excellence and change management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in utilizing data-driven decision-making to inform strategy development.
- Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing teams to achieve high performance and strategic goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Comprehensive experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to develop and manage budgets related to strategic initiatives and project portfolios.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with external partners, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for healthcare transformation initiatives that align with organizational objectives, ensuring a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, establishing project governance structures to ensure effective oversight and progress tracking against established metrics.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives and other senior leaders to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions that enhance operational performance and patient care.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture within the PMO, fostering continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in project delivery.
- Provide thought leadership in the creation and implementation of process improvement strategies, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies as needed.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through regular communications and updates, ensuring alignment on project goals and soliciting feedback to enhance project performance.
- Utilize advanced project management software and tools to streamline processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance team collaboration.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively assessing their impact on strategic initiatives to ensure compliance and adaptation to new challenges.
- Champion change management practices within the organization, enabling teams to adapt to new workflows, technologies, and procedural enhancements.
- Oversee financial management of transformation projects, including budget preparation, tracking expenses, and providing regular analysis and reporting to leadership.
