This is a junior, hands-on role for someone with container stowage planning experience seeking broader vessel operations work.
Must-have qualifications
- Hands-on container vessel stowage planning, including preparing, checking, and amending plans.
- Working knowledge of BAPLIE/EDI files, weight and stability limits, lashing, dangerous-goods segregation, and reefer placement.
- Experience with at least one stowage or terminal planning system, such as CASP, MACS3, Navis/N4, Zodiac, or an in-house tool.
Other required qualifications
- 1–3 years in container shipping, liner, or terminal operations.
- Bachelor's degree; Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, or Engineering is preferred.
- Willingness to support 24/7 vessel operations when needed.
- Based in the UAE or able to relocate quickly.
What you'll do
- Prepare and check stowage plans and coordinate them with terminals and vessel Masters.
- Support vessel scheduling and coordinate with agents.
- Follow up on equipment operations, maintenance and repair, depot coordination, and damage or repair cases.
- Identify operational problems, see them through to closure, and suggest process improvements.
Pay
- AED 13,000–15,000 per month.
