The Store Manager is accountable for daily store operations and workforce management in line with business objectives.
The role aims to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability, maintain brand and company image, ensure operational compliance, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high levels of customer service and develop approaches to attract customers, grow store traffic, and improve profitability.
- Review brand performance and stock, identify best sellers and slow-moving products, and create action plans to increase sales.
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies covering funds, property, personnel practices, security, sales, and record keeping.
- Coach, train, and mentor store teams in customer service, product knowledge, and retail.
- Ensure health, safety, security, and compliance policies are followed and raise concerns promptly.
- Manage cash handling, stockroom processes, and stock-taking administration.
- Provide analytical feedback to Operations, Buying, and Planning on products, ranging, pricing, competitors, and opportunities.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of industry experience with a managerial background.
- Proven record of maximizing business performance.
- Good understanding of main customer segments and ability to help the team understand them.
- Ability to identify critical paths and convene stakeholders to support timely decisions.
- Sound decision-making, including knowing when to decide independently and when to delegate upwards.
